White Wednesday Spring Cookies*

I am in my kitchen today baking cookies for my little boys class spring celebration party at school. I said I would bake the cookies, of course they will have to be Spring themed! I'm going to make two shapes. A watering can and a flower. I think it will go perfectly with the project that is planned. Planting a spring flower!
They only asked for one per child but how do you bake a flower without a watering can to go with it!!
I'll probably do a sugar cookie or I have a recipe for a fabulous lemon cookie. I probably will make one of each.
Have a wonderful week and bake some Spring goodies *

Dinner at Stella Mare's *

Dinner at Stella Mare's, in Santa Barbara...
On Saturday I drove to Santa Barbara for a Birthday Surprise Dinner for My cousin Mary , I posted about her a few weeks ago!
I first went to this Fabulous location about 20ish years ago, The restaurant was owned by someone else back then. I recall the Fabulous old Structure, a quaint House with a beautiful glass Atrium room. It's secluded and romantic, I could of just moved right in.....The architectural detail were still as I remembered. The Stair Case is one of my favorites, I took these pictures on Saturday before Dinner. It funny but I never forgot the details all these years later!
Oh! She was so surprised, the evening was wonderful, the food was Delish, service was exceptional , a must dining experience if your ever in Santa Barabara Ca.

Oh to be celebrating!

It's a big day for celebrating, remembering to wear green is Big at school today. Our school is adopting a " green lunch", no wasteful containers or packaging....I love it, it makes us think of creative ways to prepare and pack the lunches for our kids.

I found this photo of my dad(far Right) with his Coast Guard buddies. His description was that they just came in from being at sea for along time. They came into San Diego.
Here they are in the in the restaurant! PATRICK'S Dine and Dance! 1945! They all look so happy to be a shore.

March 17th also is a day for remembering someone so special, Dennis Patrick Smith* my brother, who's Life was monumental... to me

Spring is beautiful!!!

Yesterday I worked all day outside and the smell of the orange blossoms and all the fruit trees are so delicious. It makes me want to bake a Meyer Lemon Cake or whip up a Orange flavored Frosting on chocolate cupcakes!
Spring inspires me to clean and bring flowers in from the garden and to be outside.
Here in So. Cal we are outside a lot.....
Here is another photo from my Garden house.... I hope you take the time to find a special spot where you live just to enjoy this new Season Spring*

Who needs legs!

This vintage garden chair is missing its legs.... I love it anyway just the way it is, It is my seat to sit in it when we are gathered around our stone fire pit. I always find a way to use something that is beautiful. Maybe someday I'll find its mate.

* My Vintage White Garden House*

This is inside my favorite place to have dinner, lunch or just relax! It's my Vintage Garden House! We built it on a on a beautiful stone foundation so it looks like it has been there for many years. It's a really a unique structure adding a lot of focus to the Landscape.. I also enjoy seeing it in the distance during the day or beautifully lit with a Rustic Willow Chandelier to dine by at night. My Favorite feature is the Vintage white Doors. I Love Love Love them*

I love separate architectural structures. It gives personality and Character to the property.
