Romantic vintage shades

A beautiful Saturday morning to you...

One of a kind shades can transform any piece of lighting.
I've been making my own for years with skeleton shades.
They are always on my vintage shopping radar!

Shades are a fun DIY project, easy to change out with another idea.

I hope you will be inspired to try some on your own.....

My Design tip: Look for vintage skeleton shades with various shapes. You'll be surprised how fun it is to design your own one of a kind shade with cool embellishments.

Hop over to my Saturday's Designing with vintage series blog at Second Shout Out & shop!

  1. Oh Gail Ikea Has shades like the first photo that inspired my linen shade I created in my much older postings. about 4 years ago i created one for my daughters room on an old skeleton form, and a wire shade i made as well, and can be seen in my Theatre post of drama.
I love this post, gets me wanting to cover some shades after I get my Knitting on :)

see you soon, Oh what shades are you covering and please share!
